Berth connections

What reads and writes the dock slip

The dock record stays the source for the undock hour and the unfinished work. The names below are yard papers and logs a planner can pull onto a slip such as DS-184, or send back out from it. Connecting a workbook does not move an open item off the ship.

01

Berth-board workbook

The planner's existing rows for dock-in and undock. A row can open a dock record for that vessel and berth. After the record exists, the workbook is not a second window. A change to the hour is made on the slip, then the board can be refreshed from the export.

02

Workshop open-item sheet

Lines the shop still has at the end of a shift. Each line is written back onto the ship named on it. A line that cannot be tied to a vessel and a berth is refused. Closing the job, or carrying it out of the dock, happens on the record, not on the shift sheet.

03

Gate and flood-up log

The dock-in time the gate actually took, and the flood-up the dockmaster has or has not signed. On DS-184 the gate time is 6 October 2026 at 06:40, signed. Flood-up is still an empty row. The log does not invent a signature the dockmaster has not given.

04

Superintendent comment file

The owner's request for a different undock hour. It lands as a dispute on that ship's record, with the asked hour kept after the planner sets another one. It does not sit as a loose note beside the docking.

05

Survey holding note

A hold that blocks undock, attached to the same ship. The hold is visible beside the signature table until the planner or the dockmaster clears it on that record. A hold on the rudder stock is why Harting's undock moved, and the note stays with the ship.

06

Record-count ledger

One line per dock record that qualified that month, with the rate of $48 and the floor of eight, for the accounts desk. The ledger names the records. It does not replace the slips. Read the count call.

If the berth board at your yard does not look like any of these papers, write the yard desk. The only address is support@commonsilo.com.
