Careers
CommonSilo was founded in 2026 to keep the dock window and the unfinished work on the same ship record. The roles below are the people a yard planning desk actually needs on the other side of the slip. Apply by email to support@commonsilo.com only.
You write the language of the slip with working planners. A berth argument has to become fields: dock-in, undock, open item, dispute, signature. You sit in on undock reviews and correct any screen that lets a workshop item escape onto a side list.
You should have spent time with a repair-yard plan, a docking report, or a similar dated record where the hour and the unfinished job were easy to split apart. Bring one example of a record you would refuse to split.
You move a yard's first berths onto the dock record and stay with that planning desk until the first month's ledger matches the ships they actually touched. Hybrid means some of the work is alongside the planners and some of it is on the records after you leave the desk.
The first month is not tidy if you open a master list to catch the leftovers. Open items go back onto each ship. You will be judged on whether an undock packet for a ship like Harting still shows the unsigned flood-up.
You keep the monthly ledger honest. A qualifying action counts a dock record once in that month. A read does not count. The floor of eight records is a floor at the same $48 rate, not a second price. The export, the signature table, and the API count have to name the same records.
You should be comfortable explaining a bill to a planner who thinks a moved undock hour is a new subscription. It is not. It is another line on the same slip, and one line on the ledger.
Name the role in the subject. Say which berth records you have worked with. The yard desk reads notes sent to that address. Questions about the work can also go through the yard desk form.
